Only time I tipped poorly in my life was $9 on a $97 tab at a nice ass Sushi restaurant and I felt really bad about it afterwards and never did it again.
Pretty much, this section complains about the same thing everyday:
"why am I not getting p****"
"capitalism bad"
"random question"
"this food stinks"
etc
all the same, we need more actual threads
Yeah I won't lie, life section gets repetitive QUICK
maybe we should be able to tip posts to encourage quality threads
lots of people "anti tipping" want restaurants to raise food costs to give waiters higher hourly wage. idk if most waiters even want that tho.
They dont need to raise food costs, they need to just stop having the profits shared unevenly

I try to post creative threads
How did you get that job? What did you major in in college?
I majored in Aerospace Engineer and once I graduated, applied to a bunch of airlines and thankfully got into a really good one. You have to climb the ladder but once you’re experienced you can make some serious money, overtime is killer!

Twitter just introduced tipping the other week btw lol

Would tipping $2 to @op cause him to make a better thread
i’m about to sound so entitled but to take aim at the buy and cook your own food argument. part of my bill is going to the chefs who are actively what i’m paying for. i can make my own food and cook, i certainly am worse at it as to why i would eat out, and time reasons. as someone sub 30 years old i like not having to worry about prepping my meal, making sure i have every ingredient, and spending that time. the chefs i understand are making a salary and wage but yea idk i’m just rambling i don’t mean to offend no body

Are you kidding me?
It seems like you may isolate yourself from particular demographics of people, not that that's a bad thing.
Do you think you have more people around you who agree with your stance on tipping, or do you find yourself to be an outlier within your social circle?
Most people around me agree with me. But most of friends are people you would probably consider a******s.

can't forget about your weekly "is social media ruining (blank)?"
And what do you do for a living that allows you to make such a privileged post such as this?
I’m a product manager at a large tech company
Are you kidding me?
im not lmao people can now add a tip jar to their profile to get thanked for good tweets
Would tipping $2 to @op cause him to make a better thread
No but tipping $2 to someone else with a good thread would encourage them to continue

unbelievable
Well until the day y'all anti tippers make it so that servers and restaurant workers in general get paid "fairly" by their employers, please just tip. Please.

Maybe, but I don't think so, I tend to get along with a fair bit of people, I try not to judge.
Im glad you have found a good social circle for yourself

When my boy was 19 and broke we always had to convince him to leave like 1-2$ and he would always rant about tipping and bullshit.
Few years later he got a good job and he don’t got a problem doing it anymore.
Some people are a******s and some people just don’t got it like that...
