    He doesn't oversaturate himself

I wasn’t around to experience lil Wayne peak during his C3 run but was he the opposite of this sentiment or was he an exception because he struck balance between quality and quantity? I ask because baby gets compared to Wayne often

He was making real music and comes across as a down to earth guy.

He had motivational music, pain music, get money music, reminiscing music, appealed to every demographic, etc

Plus he was well connected coming into the game

That Baby/Quay combo was nuts back then

They still friends but I don't think they really been working like they used to

    by being good

  • By being extremely talented. He is really the total package, and everyone who’s not ed can see it

There’s a reason he has co-signs from nearly every legend in the game

It’s tough to say because Wayne was doing his thing when the industry was completely different than it is now

I don’t think Wayne’s model would work today, so they are fundamentally different. With that said, I do think Baby captures the “essence” of Wayne more than any other rapper out. Hes constantly rapping like he is hungry as hell. Killing all his features. Has the same unique swagger Wayne had where he was able to appeal to the streets and the general public

He had artist development where most rappers today don’t.

    Hard work

just like durk he used to go way harder when he first started, then watered down his sound and production to appeal to the masses
