Niggas either need to get better bars or do two lists of actual spitters vs “vibe artists/vibe rappers”
Wtf type of s*** has happened to rap the past 15 years where people are so antagonistic towards the foundational skill that got the genre thus far. Its like because you or your fav cant fundamentally rap people s*** on the skill of it lol
Yea I wouldn’t say get rid of the cyphers at all. And there are still artists every year who really use the freestyles/cyphers to their advantage. And at the same time there have always been stinkers in those even in the early days
But I feel like in 2026 that s*** ain’t enough for the list to truly cut through and get people’s attention. The mixtapes would be a way to do that imo
