Lmaoo Fantano roasted tf out of Weeknd
ngl though he actually describes kinda well why I never have and probably never will call myself a fan.
I like HOB a lot tho
This review just proved that Fantano was never a player
I have a feeling he will release every OG mixtape this year on streaming services
i remember you not f***ing with the weeknd at all lol
now that you’re into it though i could see you coming around.
Yeah I def gotta give this s*** a shot
I’m obsessed with Starboy and After Hours
I’m in a new mindset when it comes to Abel so maybe my opinion will ch age when I relisten to this in its original form lol
It’s pretty crazy how this doesn’t sound dated at all goddamn
and imagine this being your first body of work as an artist
insanity
quality is way better. you can actually hear all the elements of the instrumental and where they sit clearly
I have a feeling he will release every OG mixtape this year on streaming services
do not even want to get my hopes up for that
if echoes gets the same treatment HoB got...

He said it grew on him later
Trilogy cover boring af in comparison. Seeing the cover brings you into atmosphere of the tape even more
Crazy how HOB still sounds fresh til this day. Like the project could literally drop next friday and have a 2021 feel attached to it
I was most pissed off about The Birds Pt 2
on the one hand, it is kinda interesting what they did with it - stripping away all the pitch correction, leaving the vocals naked, imperfect and raw at the most vulnerable and crucial part of the entire trilogy; on the other hand, it's barely listenable for me lol

For those old enough to remember the aura around Weeknd in 2011, that cover encapsulates it perfectly. Just pure mystery. It was like listening to music in a hidden dimension.
