III and IV definitely the peak of that franchise so savor them. next 3 films all really good tho, its not til you get to Jason Takes Manhattan that the quality starts to nosedive for a couple movies.

Damn this month flew by

Friday the 13th Part II - X: I've only seen the first film (which i thought was good), so I decided to check out the rest of the series. Now that I've gone thru the main series, the only thing that i can safely say is that i have brain rot. like i genuinely think my brain has turned to mush. i wont even bother going into all the films since they are all essentially just the same film, even if there are cosmetic changes in each film (e.g. dumb 3D gimmick for Part III, knockoff Carrie in Part VII, weird snake demon thing in Jason Goes to Hell, Space Jason in Jason X), but i will say that Jason Goes to Manhattan is not only the worst film in the series but is genuinely one of the worst films that i have ever seen.

Just finished Part V and about to start 6.

Best thing about these movies is they MIGHT have some funny dialogue, a handful of interesting/creative kills (but not guaranteed), and also will always have titties. thats the best you can hope for tbh.

within the first 6 parts, part V is easily the worst one. besides that hilarious death of the fat guy, the film has literally nothing else going for it. thankfully part VI is a major improvement. it's got that tense atmosphere that made the first film a horror classic, while having a bit of meanspiritness going on, some of the kills in it are actually gnarly.

after part VI, it all pretty much goes to s***

keanu was so f***ing useless in that movie
