i like you
Man this was a hell of a way to kick off a franchise. I wish they would figure out a way to go back to the ethos of people stumbling on the tapes and it’s an intertwining story within the shorts. The shift to just pure anthology is just a little less interesting.
Glad I found this thread because i'm stocking up for the season
got a 35mm scan of The Fly downloading atm

saw Twisted Nerve last night which was a lot of fun. Went into it unaware of the Tarantino connection. was introduced to it from this

edit 3:
vhs85 first tape damn! nice.
Any good Dario Argento joints one must see?
suspiria, four flies on grey velvet, & the bird with the crystal plumage for sure
don’t know what to watch tonight
got pulse and tetsuo in the watchlist but kinda want something more recent
Yeah definitely putting VHS85 over 99.
Multiple of the tapes scratched that itch i want from the series.
I wouldn’t say it’s for everybody by any means though.
It was creative

Pulse is great
I watched What Have They Done to Your Daughters? the other day but it felt more like a detective procedural film than a traditional Giallo

Suspiria, Opera, Tenebrae, Deep Red are all a good time
I've been gathering some fan-made film scans lately
The Thing
Nosferatu
Horror of Dracula
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Eyes Wide Shut
Terminator 2
There's also this German theatrical of The Excorcist i've seen around which doesn't have the blue tint during the exorcism scenes
I watched the Vertigo one recently and it was a revelation
