Hate to burst ya'll bubble but WLR is not generally accepted as good at all. Idk who told ya'll it was.
Critic ratings don’t really matter more than ours because they’re very biased, it’s just one random persons opinion. In other words pitchforks review is equally valid to my or your opinion.
WLR is a 7/10
If you look at Diablo 4 meta critic score it’s like almost a 9/10 but if you look at the user scores it’s closer to a 5/10 which is much more accurate.
Only reason I brought critics in the discussion is because the user I replied to was talking that “generally accepted” foolishness
You and your people may say it’s a 7/10 me and my people say it’s a 8.5/10 at least
A lot of people on this site would agree with us both. Masquerading your own opinion as the opinion of the general population is weak whether you are arguing for or against an album being great imo.
The only opinions that do get documented and are able to be referenced are critics reviews/opinions because of their platform. That’s why critics being as biased as they are is so problematic but that’s another conversation
“One nobody”
has 40k likes
They don’t contribute anything on Twitter aside from questionable contrarian takes so yeah he’s pretty much a nobody
Putting WLR and 808s in same sentence is nasty work
For real.
One's based off raw emotion that paved a way for generations & the other's just because the artist felt like f***ing around.
Drake stans will always think his s*** don't stink

Your replying to a post comparing 808s and WLR, not HNVM tho
stop trying to make this album happen
It already did
I'm gonna be completely honest
I kinda called this like 2 months or so after it dropped. I liked it enough and revisited a good amount of tracks, my fav Drake album since wattba
And within just a couple months everyone was copying the style of beats, even bey dropped a similar album, tons of the underground is making songs that are clearly from this album
I could see it being looked at really highly a couple years from now
Are you saying Renaissance, the album Beyoncé made in 2020-21 and was announced and being promoted before Honestly Nevermind, was inspired by it? 💀

Finally someone caught it
Drake stans force themselves to like his work more than any other stan base I’ve ever seen. Yall have done this with every single Drake project since IYRT. Every single one lol other than Devine I have never heard a Drake stan say a negative thing about his music. The dedication is impressive 👏
Idk if this can be true after Kendrick fans had to put out guides on how to enjoy his latest album
WLR is just a diet Trippie Redd album, don’t lump it in with these classics
this is poor bait
Only songs I can do without are Down Hill and Tie That Binds. Album is his best since NWTS easily. The production is elite and i do wish he did more vocally/song structure wise, but his songwriting was also special on here. A fun album nonetheless.
Flights Booked and Overdrive are top tier songs in his discography.

What guide?

My bad haha.
I caught that after I replied but still rest my case.

Sorry I misread and thought Kendrick did this. Lol what fan HASNT done this? Be real now

Every fan that’s not a weirdo I would imagine
it isn’t a cope to point out objectively horrible singing dude lmao. it’s no different than someone playing piano and they’re hitting wrong, unpleasant notes, im sure someone out there might enjoy it or think it’s cool, but most “good” music is usually in key, and doesn’t feature too much dissonance
drake doesn’t have to be a phenomenal singer at all or an “objectively” great one, that particular album it sticks out as bad
"The piano ain't got no wrong notes"
Thelonious Monk
the amount of coping over this project is ridiculous lmao
like dawg the singing on it is quite literally objectively horrible
he’s not even in key on some songs
Saying this with a Jimi Hendrix avy kinda funny ngl
