It’s all pop. Honestly Nevermind is dance pop.

    Renaissance is RNB pop

If you don’t think that Pop king right now that’s fine. If you don’t think Glass Animals had anything to do with it becoming more popular right now that’s fine.

There’s no such thing as “Dream pop”. Just call it pop.

Drastically different versions of pop what the hell bro lmaoooo

Bey dropped a “similar” album because everyone is copying Glass Animals Dreamland album from 2020

Also don’t forget Drake and Beyoncé were working together in the studio during the recording time of Renaissance so it’s likely they inspired each other also pretty likely that they were “asked/made” to make this sound the current trend.

You never hear Passionfruit before lmao

    Drake been on this sound

lol okay passion fruit came out 6 years ago

That’s like saying “Jay Z dropped a __ song so that’s why it’s trendy now” even though that Jay Z song came out 10 years ago.

Like kanye dropped fade in 2016 and people loved it and it inspired some music but I wouldn’t say it’s what caused the house music to become popular today

  • Jul 18, 2023

Drake wouldn't even have a career if it wasn't for 808s

Drake dropped multiple house/dancehall inspired songs in 2016 and 2017, he never committed to the sound like he did on HNVM before that, pretty dumb to think he was chasing a trend. He just moved more toward the house sound instead of the tropical vibes, even though that is still present on HNVM with Texts Go Green.

Renaissance doesn't even sound like HNVM, they are different types of dance music.

Everyone wants to have the number one track.

If you don’t know glass animals track from 2020 took many many weeks to rise to number 1. It didn’t reach number 1 until 2022 if I’m not mistaken.

Artists/Producers/Music Companies notice this kind of thing and want to imitate it because that’s extreme success. Of course they want to do it their own way as well and add their own flavour.

I don’t care if you don’t think it sounds similar or if you don’t think it’s true. Artists inspire other artists a lot more than they inspire listeners (us). I guarantee you every one of the big artists (Beyoncé, Drake, Kanye, etc) ALL heard and listened to DreamLand way before one of its songs became number 1 on the billboard top 100 and I guarantee you they were inspired by it heavily and then even moreso when it rose to number 1.

You’re right. It’s not the same genre so they can’t possible be inspired by it. I’m sorry for not realizing this obvious fact.

I don’t know how to explain it man. I am a producer so I can tell they’re using the same “tricks” to make things sound really clean and bouncy. It’s like, someone learns some new “trick” and they slowly/quickly share it with the world it becomes a thing that lots of producers “do” until everyone knows about it then they find new ways.

I wish I could tell you exactly what. What I will say is I can turn these albums louder than any other album recorded without any distortion/clipping. (These albums being, Renaissance, Honestly Nevermind and especially DreamLand)

I guess I’m referring to Hot Sugar though that end part when the extra bass comes in. For the bouncy part.

I never said they invented it and it doesn’t have to be a hit. It just has to be good sounding that it inspires artists.

Artists don’t just listen to singles. I am certain that Beyoncé drake etc all heard this album before it was even in the Grammy nominations (dreamland)

Anyways I think it’s safe to say that these artists all inspire each other. If you don’t think they sound similar that’s fine but I do.
