Pause was a colloquialism of sorts created by heterosexual men to make sayings, words, and phrases used in common conversation seem less gay.
If one bi-sexual person has no issue with it, I’m not mad at that but the inception of “pause” or “no homo” is clearly rooted in homophobia
And in 2021.. that s*** is on its last leg.. if not extinct
I respectfully disagree, I wish I had gay friends to ask them what they think

Im not mad at it lol
I bet you gay folks don’t use those terms! “Pause” “no homo” is almost the textbook definition of homophobic 😂
I can’t imagine any homosexual person with self respect using them in casual or private conversation

Well said
Idk how this is even debatable
Homophobia is a problem in hip-hop
Sexism is a problem in hip-hop
Colorism is a problem in hip-hop
No need to act like it doesn’t exist
Im not mad at it lol

Not really them using the term but asking if they think it’s homophobic or not. Really think it’s a nonissue overall
Rappers be talking bout killing people, selling hard d**** and doing wild s*** and you expect them to be role models for progressiveness? This is where you draw the line, not the shooting or other s***? C'mon man

That’s sort of what has happened though
The d*** selling/abuse, violence, misogyny, normalization of black racial epithets still gets a pass but anything related to rape, homosexuality, or pedophila is a no go
At some point I expect the entire genre to get a makeover and everything will be taboo

I think most of the folks who are taking a stand against homophobia in hip-hop are also the same ones who want rappers to be off the streets and hard d****. at least, I can recognize the same users itt.
that's just my perception though, I've got no horse in this race.
Pause not homophobic its immature but idc what you say its not homophobic
And if u feel it is ima stop when i mature
Turn that s*** up
"hip hop needs homophobia" is such a strange hill to die on
Tbh tho
thay s*** is WILD
I'm gay y'all
Lmao this post was fine, but saying “balls in my face” was worth a 3 hour mute”
Surprised this thread lasted this long
I had a thread on the relationship with hip hop pedos & transgenders the other night...
Got locked in 30 mins
That’s cause nobody likes you bro
i really dont know if this a large debated topic out in the real world but Creasy, who clearly stated that he's bisexual doesn't consider saying pause as homophobic but other people itt are saying pause is homophobic.
clearly theres some sort of reaching going on and its the latter.
Some black people also dont believe in racism lol.
Theres many homosexual/bisexual people with platforms that dont like Pause or think it’s homophobic.
When I say “Rapper” @Makaveli
damn whatever happened to le1f they were incredible
