yeah once you pass that you’ll be in a really tough place with no way back, so the judge is really like a difficulty gate. Feel free to go back and explore and do stuff beforehand. You should definitely have needle strike, the upgraded needle from bellhart, and at least 4 mask shards giving you an extra life. Also have at least one rosary necklace because rosary beads are weirdly scarce in the following area

wait so DONT fight last judge till i do everything i need? should i have double jump before this? only area that i think is really unexplored for me rn is the mist. everything else ive navigated

double jump is found in the area after that fight so don’t worry

the mist is complicated, I’ve heard it actually allows you to skip judge because there’s a secret path from mist to citadel but I haven’t found it
