He’s very capable, he just been rushing s*** the last 2-3 albums
The amount they contributed on each of those early albums always been up for debate. Like Rhymefest saying he co-write Jesus Walks. He wrote like 4 bars or less on the finished product.

It’s Kanye he can’t “fall off” if it’s after 2010 lol
and the attempts he’s had at radio/club records since TLOP weren’t organically big if not because of the music then because of MAGA Ye so trying to appeal to people didn’t matter anyway
and 2000’s Ye could achieve substance, innovation and commercial success lol he started making shoes and started phoning it in musically

The mumble stuff is just unfinished verses. There is a video from I think Big Sean recording Fire with Kanye. He just mumbles as a reference for how he wants to flow on the track.
I do think he has gotten lazy with his verses though. Phones in a lot of his verses last minute instead of taking his time to perfect it before presenting it.

Critic is fine. A lot of it is baseless though lol. I think ‘Ye’ is an absolute stain on his discography.
