they'll never get over it

I love how they claim this despite the fact that Drakes dropped a hundred songs since the beef
these same threads get made every week by the same handful of users that also are obsessed with pop crave tweets, streaming data, and everything else besides the music
Hip-hop is at its lowest in 2025. I’m not actually shocked. Just sad considering it’s my favorite genre. Sad to see the state that it’s in
R&b niggas took over
More ppl want mood music to f***
Hip hop is going to go out like rock soon. Not good. SoundCloud era lowkey killed mainstream hip hop. We need something different and fast.
Yeah it's the good ol' 50 year life cycle for a genre coming up.
Soundcloud really was the nu-metal phase of hip-hop
Kendrick opened the door the clipse followed a few other niggas all the rest of these nigga sat and did nothing especially all the trap artist
This is horrible news, and at the same time potentially culture saving news. The "culture" desperately needs to course correct.
I love how they claim this despite the fact that Drakes dropped a hundred songs since the beef
aint he drop a whole 20gb of songs or someshit
Niggas not making catchy music either the most catchy s*** on urban radio is R&b tracks
Need Nas to make a part two of that song from Hip Hop Is dead where he does that funny voice and investigate who killed hip hop
Actually would work with AI tbh
they'll never get over it

They don’t remember Drake dropped 3 songs this year that all flopped.
they'll never get over it

Drake dropped more music than Kendrick and Cole combined since the beef btw.
Hip Hop going back underground would do wonders for the genre
nahh we need more videos like this
hip hop started in the late 70s as a street movement
the 80s had it gain cultural relevance in the way of NWA and public enemy and run DMC and LL
the 90s rappers took that and RAN WITH IT. guys like nas, jay, wu tang, DMX, outkast mastered the craft while staying extremely in touch with the streets
then the next generation made it skillfully pop friendly. guys like ludacris, nelly, eminem, 50 cent. they weren't better than the 90s guys IMO but theyre the ones who turned it into the #1 genre in america popularity wise
then we had the 2010s which IMO were a step down from the 2000s but still gave us the best pop rapper (drake) as well as kendrick, j cole
after that.... the next generation got into mumble rap, trap, drill which was still very popular in the streets and was a change up from the previous decades. i think it was a needed direction shift after the genre had plateau'd. however this era proved to be lacking in terms of artistic content (IMO - some may disagree) and it didn't have wide lasting appeal which leads us to today where hip hop doesnt have a single song in the top 40.
They definitely trying to push a narrative and push niggas out the industry smh
Need Nas to make a part two of that song from Hip Hop Is dead where he does that funny voice and investigate who killed hip hop
