The writing completely sunk the potential this film had.

    flootures

Lol he killed all of his would-be "masters" and team owners at an impromptu signing event/ritual

    On a football field

    With cheerleaders

    With gear on

    It was pretty football related

Yea that last scene completely annihilated an already chore of a viewing. Film was all aesthetics like someone in here said an hour and a half of nike commercial+ run of the mill occult imagery and some weak writing. Got to the end and was like ok so he's just an unhinged murderous guy now all of a sudden even if it was meant to be metaphorical it was just weak.

One of those hated films that I think is a classic

  • I thought Marlon crushed this and also a lot of a24 or NEON type horror films can be a little thin plotwise. Horror can be more about vibes or aesthetics. I thought it did its job well

Movie was good definitely doesn’t deserve the hate it got the last quarter ending is where the movie slowly starts falling off but other than that it was still a solid watch

Finally watched this man what a bunch of garbage. Such a cool premise and so much they could've done with this. It was a very ambitious movie carried out by average people. It's clear they tried to make social commentary on organized sports but it's so flat and vague they don't say anything at all. I wouldn't even consider it a horror movie. More like a sci fi movie. Wayans performance is of course the only prayer answered in this football drama with a satanism twist
