They're protesting the situation they're currently in. A large part of that is connected to the fact that the US has had an embargo in place for essentially 60 years, and been bullying them ever since in the goals of containing communism.
This is not to take 100% responsibility away from the Cuban government, obviously because they have an obligation to look out for their people the best they can, however I believe if the embargo is lifted it'd give Cubans more room to breathe so to speak.
There's a lot of weird s*** going on. a lot of spinning narratives and suspect videos that people want to project their ideologies on to
bottom line is s*** is f***ed up in Cuba right now, embargo needs to be lifted, and whatever needs 2 happen for them to better their situation should be considered.
ideally no violent s*** but u know how this game goes
Oh I'm not gonna ignore the lack of other nation's involvements but this is definitely going to end up being more cultural and reflect the changing identity of cubans lately.
