expected from me tbh
it hit #1 becasue of his comeback, not because of the song
if he released any song instead of heartless it would have gone #1 anyway. i honestly don't understand the direction for this era.
why did he release a run of the mill weeknd trap r&b song
just go full revolutionary pop
this
was hoping he was gonna full pop this time around
he gotta make his mind up
heartless is still hard tho
At least that song had 4 weeks
I can't say I'm surprised. the Weeknd doesn't typically stay long at #1. He has 4 #1 hits and the longest any song of his has spent at #1 is 6 weeks with the Hills and even back then, he had to resort to using remixes from Nicki Minaj and Eminem to extend it's run at #1.
What were the bundles?
Autographed items and he released like 10 different covers for the same 2 singles

I hear ya. I wonder how hard he's gonna push Blinding Lights
The Weeknd: 4 #1's as a lead artist this decade (11 total weeks at #1)
The other Canadian artist: 4 #1's as a lead artist this decade (39 total weeks at #1).
Remember when everyone swore the Weeknd was going to be bigger than the other Canadian artist?
Only real music is gonna last
All that other bullshit is here today and gone TOMORROW.

PROLLY FORVER IF I STAY IN MY ZONE
Niggas in here talking about bundles as if that’s an outlier lmao. The rest of the game doing bundles too and they still ain’t hitting top 10.

I’m really not tryna generalize all Drake stans into one category but they are the most insecure fan base of any artist I’ve ever seen
who the f*** cares about a #1 if it doesnt mean anything? it was just his comeback + bundles
he only sold vinyls and cds that's not bundling
