i agree lmao i for sure aint listening to that s*** im just discussing trends ctfu
This is an L. It really doesn’t matter what Abel says about it.. it’s an L. Super Bowl acts aren’t going 100k range on any solo album in their prime. Period.

I hope not I'm already sick of it. There's a song on Tory's album that literally sounds like Rick Astley.

also this dont seem to have a smash from what I been hearing. maybe a big record or 2 but not the one
I remember blinding lights getting hella teased before AH release and even had a music video before right?
My Turn did 197k
And Roddy literally had one of the biggest songs of recent memory with The Box. What’s your point
Lil Baby?
Dude couldn’t do a solo arena tour if his life depended on it and dudes are on here acting like he’s a don lmao
We were really bamboozled into thinking Weeknd was a top dog smh. Same with Post, Ed Sheeran and the other washed late 2010s stars. It's really just Drizzy, Lil Baby, Kendrick, Adele and Taylor at the top.
You forgot Bieber

Na the rollout is not nearly as big, and Take My Breath was a victim of oversaturation. My point is it looks like Dawn FM will do about the same amount of streams fw as After Hours. Meanwhile After Hours sold 270k pure, Dawn selling 10k-14k pure per HDD.

The real difference imo is the fact he just didn’t have a hit single this album run. Blinding Lights had like 3 million videos on Tik Tok and obliterated radio. Streaming #s were crazy. Weeknd’s song with Doja didn’t do s***, Take My Breath didn’t, etc.
For him to circle back and drop a new album as soon as he did, this was hardly a “surprise album” like some keep saying on here. It had a rollout.

The first week streaming numbers are the same though, After Hours just had 270k pure sales while Dawn is getting around 10k.

Same thing gonna happen to Travis
Disappointing but hardly surprising.
Watch for the longevity of the album if anything, even if this album doesn’t have any of the bigger hits his previous albums had.
Keep in mind this man didn’t have to drop an album so close after After Hours, he could have still rode off the wave like Travi$ did Astroworld.
Abel’s dropping music solely for the fans and the art right now because he already proved himself.
