let me preface this comment by saying i love this show. the only reason I let it get away with certain issues is because I think the questions it asks and ideas it explores are very contemporary but with a futuristic spin.
Maeve NEEDS to have a huge last episode where she either gets out from under Serac's thumb, or changes her entire motive completely, because the whole daughter thing has just been super meh and unconvincing. Everytime Delores asks her those 'deep' questions it makes me as an audience member think to myself 'wait yk what Delores is right lol wtf is this idiot Maeve doing'. I thought the fight seen was badass though, one of the better of the season and series.
Williams story is so ehhh. I really do not want to believe that his reconditioning worked and that is why his attitude is the way it is, but for him to have zero compassion for the hosts, while kind of making sense, you'd think after Bernard and Stubbs literally save him from potential mind degradation, he'd at least ponder what his motives really were.
I thought they finally nailed Caleb with this episode. Really complicated and serious s*** that happened with him. With the backstory we got on him, we also got backstory on the world and this whole reconditioning thing as well, which I just thought was really well done. It helped me visualize and comprehend Rehboam's powers more so than I have been able to in the past.
Lastly, Bernard's role this season has fkn blown man. It feels like all this mans does it extract some data, tell us about it and why it is important, and then dip for another two episodes. He's like the fkn narrator in a sense and it just sucks.
this is how I feel, everything this season seems unconvincing
Caleb was great last episode tho
Show looks gorgeous but other than thaaaaaaat
I really hope the finale gives me something to hold onto again
Really enjoying this season, shame that it's ending next week.
On a side note, wtf is up with Maeve's 'motive' this season
Season 3 Reminds me of season 6-7 of thrones - good but feels a little off and doesn’t live up to the shows peak
Season 2 of it was not great
Season 1 was a masterpiece
Didn’t think they would be able to outdo Season 2
Crazy how this show just keeps getting better and better
I really hate the superman/hulk treatment. The stronger you are = the weaker you are.
I keep watching Maeve get her as whooped like wtf is this
They def made this season more easily digestible since people complained about the complexity of the last season.
Can’t wait to rewatch this season before Sunday 🥴
Are the Nolans just allergic to combat scenes?
Worst part about the Batman series too
Worst part about the Batman series too
Thats what I'm saying lol its kinda fascinating
Yeah like are we meant to empathize with Maeve at all this season?? I guess she has to follow whatever Serac asks with that switch he has but holy f*** shut up about your daughter. Get out of Dolores’ way lmao.
Do y’all think Dolores actually wants Caleb to destroy humanity
Or does she just want her self and the hosts to thrive and doesn’t give af if humans are still around. I think so. And I love the aspect of her leading Caleb to all of this info about himself so he can reach full consciousness, just like Ford did with her.
S3 is straight if you’ve come this far might as well keep going ? I hope they can stick the landing in season 3 finale
hows s3 ?? bout to start . need honest opinions
It has a couple great episodes sprinkled in tbh but overall its just above aight for me personally. And without spoiling it I feel like Aaron Paul's storyline is lukewarm and kinda predictable. There's some dope s*** in this season though. Not bad
