Well for one the Nary n Ali are complaining about not being heard but they really aren’t brave enough to stand up for themselves given their status and show initiative in this war.. whereas the men are making the tough decisions even if it fails

Didn't wanna be all revisionist history but idk if it's a case of the mainline Thrones show having a much better grasp on its writing/pacing or if it's just a case of us having seen this kinda politicking before

I like a slow burn like the next guy, but janky pacing is a lil hard to sit through. I'm gonna assume this is the cooldown episode since the 4th one got bonkers

Season 2 wasn't boring by a long shot, and even if you want to say it had boring episodes, it culminated in one of the greatest episodes thrones put out.

Even the politicking in thrones was a lot more interesting, because it was always fresh.

Here, we've been stuck on the same s*** for episodes at a time. No one listens to Rhaenyra, Daemon has nightmares. Yes, slow build, whatever, but that is much f***ing better when you have 10 episodes, not 8.

its a case of them having way too few episodes to waste any. the daemon nightmares are overplayed, especially when he's going to have 2-3 in a single episode, they better give rhaenyra a ton to do to end the season if they want to salvage her character.

S2 having boring episodes didn’t mean it could have an amazing epi 9. Just like if you think this is was boring (opinion I’m not trying to argue) then that doesn’t mean it can’t have an amazing finale.

What I'm saying is you knew everything in season 2 of GOT was leading to something (blackwater). Here, I'm not sure what it is leading to, I know what its supposed to be leading to, but they are also wasting screen time on having characters stay in the same situation and writing in useless s***, like daemon having s***with his own mother lmfao.

The nightmare s*** was cool for like the first time but unless they're expanding on Daemons character, it's unneeded. I'm gonna assume the show is trying to make him unravel through these dreams

Ep was slow kinda table setty not mad at it. Only issues I have are they need to give aemond some more POV he kinda feels thin bc we rarely get things from his perspective. Boy just brooding. And the other issue is they gotta get rhanerya being more active. We get all the misogyny but damn she can be a bit more active and decisive. ATP I ain’t got much faith in her.
