Her motivations are deeper. That doesnt change that she doesnt seem to know what she's doing.
Right but her motivations are clouding her actions

I think if she showed some real competency first and then it started to crumble id be like damn. Thats usually how good characters are written. Showing why you should root for them and then that one detail gives them that heartbreaking ending. Her just being clueless from the jump and even borrowing that awful line from the actual Elizabeth 1 in history was garbage writing to me. I get she's desperate. Smart people prove themselves with savvy strategies. She's proven that she shouldn't be the ruler either. And her not doing anything but sitting her ass in dragonstone to the point she's locked in her own room. I get she wants to join the battle, but thats not a good move either because she will surely be killed. Definition of a weak ass ruler.
I dont know i cant get invested in it again
Atp im all in on knights of the seven kingdoms. This is just to keep my interest afloat in the universe. But that was touted as a fantastic episode and I was like
They’ve butchered Alicent tbh what is she even about atp
From what im told she's not even relevant atp in the books. That mightve been her most talked about scene all season

Roddy the Ruin :datass:
this would have gone harder last season
It’s solely WB’s fault
They unexpectedly cut the show’s budget before filming was finished
gotta wait for my girl to get back to watch this
she not coming back until sunday
Yall can watch episode 1 and 2 back to back
Good season opener. Lowkey felt like it could’ve been the concluding episode for season 2 to salvage that train wreck but hey…
Alyn is my GOAT
I do think it’s unfortunate the decrease in sexuality directly coincides with the decrease in good writing or entertainment (so since the middle part of GoT)
I honestly feel like they always put acting chops first, and I think they just happened to land on an all star cast of bombshell actresses with GoT. Clearly were unable to replicate that success with this spinoff
Bit of a double edged sword in that:
1. There isn’t enough source material (particularly for HOTD) — the actual premise of the Dance of Dragons is interesting but it’s nowhere near as engaging as the actual GOT original novels. A lot of motivations of characters are contrived at times, some characters are barely more than footnotes in the source material etc etc. it’s hard to take that and create something engaging enough to stretch four seasons … but then
2. Equally, it’s their own fault for dragging out what is effectively 200-300 pages of plot into four separate seasons!
Can’t have your cake and eat it too, I guess.

It was the season 2 conclusion
Watching this not remembering a damn thing about this show
Considered not revisiting the first two seasons and gf was like
And she was right cause I had definitely forgotten all the intricacies and names
Girl with the underbite dragon is stiff as a damn board.

don’t think I’m invested enough to do it,
but whole episode was a series of ‘who’s this guy again’s
dragons lookin good though
Great first ep
But, IMO, it just highlighted how unnecessary the changes made to the original plot actually were

They were really going for the Allicent x Rhaenyra angle but didnt fully commit. Like just bang already damn
I dont mind Nettles being merged with Rhaena
Man I just don't have a single good thing to say about this show at all smh

Doesn’t help that it seems like the first chunk with all the progenitor Targaryens got reserved for its own movie…
Idk how they could’ve stuffed the Aegon stuff with the Targs were working with here though. But that would’ve been an immensely more entertaining series
Westeros central lmfao
Taking the game of zones schtick to the limit
