i mean in the same podcast he was talking about the importance of preserving the important events and then he went around and completely changed blood and cheese lmao as well as cutting out important characters or aging them down so the major plot points can't happen/have to be way different

He also said that tv is about getting your best actors and putting them in dramatic situations together so he basically put them in a scene and had to come up with his justification after the fact instead of asking himself what logical steps rhaenyra might take and where would that lead, because at the end of the day Rhaenyra's personality in the show is whatever they need it to be to get from point A to point B
