Alright bro, enjoy George’s nonexistent ending.
And my main point was that it’s corny of him to s*** on his coworkers.
But D&D were total c***s with the final season and crashed the story into the ground. Why wouldn't he s*** on them? Even the cast has expressed their disappointment.
GRRM gave them an ending, you saw it in the show. They just rushed the s*** out of it.

Season 8 is objectively bad though. Like it's universally agreed to be just plain bad writing in every aspect
Even without source material from George, there is no excuse for the quality of that season .
D&D obviously got bored with the franchise and cut several corners to wrap it up

IDK guys, sorry if I was talking a little sideways. And respect to GRRM, he introduced me to an amazing world.
Maybe it’s cause I’m an aspiring screenwriter myself, but when I see people receiving so much vitriolic hate because they wrote a bad season of TV, I take it a little personally.
I also have a bad habit of being a bit of a contrarian
how the hell did the baby die?
You can hear the baby choking to death when the maester holds it
how the hell did the baby die?
I assume just some combination of birth defects/ bad genes/ inbreeding/ a f***ed up delivery.
The mom mentioned having a bunch of miscarriages and stillborns before this one.

It was more than one bad season in my opinion and they were very petty about it. Also they rushed the last season a lot I think. They knew since 2016 that were would be season 7 & 8 and there even was a 2 year break between s7->s8.
They kinda deserved this critic
just goes to show not everyone can write themselves into a corner and magically pull out a masterpiece like Gould and Gilligan
One thing i found odd about game of thrones fans response to the final season....for me the show drastically decreased in quality beginning season 5, where it went from an incredible show in the first 4 seasons to a pretty bad show with great characters and excellent big set piece episodes....but i thought season 7 was complete dogshit too and season 8 wasnt much of a step down....also i wasnt mad about dany going evil...mad queen had a lot of foreshadowing in the books and it was always going that way
This new episode was honestly dope...looking forward to a show free from GRRMs writing and D&Ds hackery

I agree 7 was bad too. My issue was more that the hate went well beyond criticism.

Cracks began to show from 5 but both S5 and 6 had brilliant moments. 7 also had the cool dragon sequence but s*** was all outta wack by then
Season 8 apologist fam tap in
The beyond the wall episode is the only time the show actually went off the rails. (aside from botching Dorne). GRRM doesn’t know up from down with the rest of his story. Feast and Dance already have the reader going in circles.
did not really love this like that
but i also wasnt really a got lover
but its just a pilot so we'll see

If you didnt love GOT, then this show most likely won't be your thing
This show will is returning to the slow burn political drama elements that were heavy in the first couple seasons of GOT, if you didn't love that then I don't think HOTD will turn you in to a big fan tbh

O and Feast is a top 3 ASOIAF book.

i mean i didnt love it but i did enjoy it
but i was never really like a huge fan about it
i only binged it just before that final season came out so i never really experienced everything around it aswell besides the sadness that was the final season
those first seasons were easily my favorite tho, but my personal favorite thing about got was everything surrounding jon snow pretty much
i enjoyed this for what it was but not like mad hyped about it or anything yk ?
You can hear the baby choking to death when the maester holds it
☹☹☹☹

W
GOT falloff began when they pivoted from behind the scenes shady behavior with very rare action to becoming an action show
