wow just watched first ep and I really like it. Feels like a GOT with a smaller scope but much more defined and more quality to come
Really nice first episode
it didn’t end in a big shock like the original pilot, but I like how it presented the characters and part of the conflict very well
REAL TV
bout to watch GoT for the first time in between episodes of this every week
Peak television
Gonna start my 5th rewatch lol

Unreal
The metric I use to "grade" a media, let's say, is through friends or the overall spread of the word and I do my own googling to see if I'll mess with something
I personally don't like when movies/shows/albums are graded with numbers. I don't have an alternative but I don't like it at all.
The experience you get when watching something is beyond numbers and metrics sometimes so you just have to experience it yourself no matter the positives or negatives surrounding it
I can't describe Samsara, for example, and I can't put it in words or numbers how captivating it is
I also agree that trailers do a disservice most of the time, they hold no importance to a movie except promo and that's all it they are. Since I got busy after teenage years, I don't keep up on trailers, I haven't seen any and I'm better off for it
I fw your explanation because I always try to be a contrarian (for lack of a better word within context) when I consume media.
I'll set it up so that if
everybody like it - why?
nobody like it - why?
And go from there
You got deep into it when u didn't have to
Thanks for bein chill broski, you could have just called me a dork and left it at that haha. That makes perfect sense, and your metric is totally valid. At the end of the day, whatever gets your eyes on what you’re gonna like is good in my book. As long as we’re using our minds and thinking for ourselves. The best part of art is our subjective experience.
Never watched GoT bc I heard the finale wasn't great. Should I watch it before this, or can I go into this as is? Idk if I want to watch GOT just bc I don't wanna invest my self in something j know will end poorly
only 10 minutes in but the casting of the younger versions is so crazy to me like wow wow

Season 1 to 4 are peak GOT, especially 4

I just seen the show "See" first season and I enjoyed it alot so I thought of this topic and then went to check critics
They gave this like 5/10, said not as good
So you see why I don't use this stuff
I think those little stone things they had at the meeting are used to signify the commencement of a small council meeting.

Seasons 1-4 are peak television. S5 and especially s6 are amazing.
So just for that it's definitely still worth it, your missing out big time imo

Don't get it twisted, there's still a big difference between Dexter's ending and the GOT ending.

Watching GoT is like eating the best ice cream bucket you've ever tasted, and then reaching the bottom of the bucket and finding a dead rat in there.
the jealous brother of the king trope is kinda played I hope they find a new way to make it seem interesting
Basically this.
