Feel like they could have (and should have) spent a whole season on previous timeline
Jarring af to suddenly see rahnera being polar opposite to her personality before. Went from str8 rebel to totally what her dad wanted all along. Married with kids and offering political marriages and s*** for her kids
Lmao she’s still a rebel , her kids aren’t her husbands
god damn dracarys old as f***
Shouldn’t one of those kids be Ser Criston tho ?
Drank the Plan B tea cause she knew he wasnt s***

Alicent personality change is CRAZY

They seem to have about 4 seasons planned, so it seems like there’s a lot they have to cover
I really don’t think we can say what Nyra is personality wise from one episode. She’s clearly retained some of her rebellious nature, as she’s doing exactly what he didn’t want and is bringing b\*\*\*\*\*\*s on the throne and soiling the Targaryen name lol. The entire episode was pretty much her being rebellious, as I took her conversation with the Velaryon and her leaving to Dragonstone as abdicating the throne
Her keeping the bloodline alive for her father and serving out duty was not something she was opposed to doing in the last episode either. It was the entire premise behind her stiff arming Cole world.
How these guys burn down what looks like a whole mini castle?
I think the jarring nature of a timeskip can be a positive if you story tell well. So far, we’ve gotten the two main characters that look like fleshed out versions of what they were in episode 5. If you told me Alicent Hightower, after having her dad banished in part because of Nyra’s deceit, grew to be bitterly hateful about Nyra and her spawn…that’d make a ton of sense
Alicent is basically what Sansa was going to be when betrothed to Joffrey. She has been around a bunch of not allies, and occasional jealous motherfuckers, for at least ~15 years. There is not one more person that she has become friends with than the last time we saw her in episode 5.

Didnt burn it down just lit up a few rooms I think. Harrenhall got melted like 200 hundred years before by dragons.

I totally bought these two as the same Rhaenyra and Allicent. Seemed like a natural progression of their characters to me.
Someone remind me. What constitutes whether a Targ gets a dragon or not?
As far as I know…. They all do when born, assuming there’s an egg.
But the children that are in line for the throne take precedence
Since Rhaenyra is the heir, her children take precedence over Alicent’s
That’s why Aemond doesn’t have one, there just wasn’t any eggs left

Outside of them looking different, nothing even felt jarring to me about them honestly. Nyra not having learned from the Cole situation and still s***ting where she eats feels like something her willfully ignorant character would do. Alicent still trying to hold on to these stiff morals and ethics while brashly managing very severe accusations, that feels like her
won't lie, imma little confused about everything that happend this episode
I was at first but as it kept going it made sense lol
What are you confused about still

the stuff with alicent and larys and harwin mainly. those last 20 minutes or so

Larys had Harwin killed to appease Alicent is the vibe I got
I honestly don’t understand why Alicent is tripping on Rhaenyra so hard though, s*** feels forced af for the sake of conflict

Her dad made her (understandably) paranoid. Rhaenyra becomes queen > Allicents kids are rivals. Rivals of the crown get killed usually. That idea has been growing in her head for 10 years.

I understand that but now it’s like she’s obviously going to want her dead for being such a b****
I dunno why it feels a bit forced to me.. like if you’re worried she’s gonna kill you why the f*** would you get on her bad side
plus Rhaenyra doesn’t strike me as the type to do such a thing to begin with
Otto a piece of s***
