listen I fear I read that tweet at least six times and it’s not computing in my brain so I’m staying out of it

people staking battle lines around trying to be right, infighting between trans people about the actions & policy changes of cis people isn't gonna make s*** better in general.

the idea being foisted by this post is that non-binarism is eroding any semblance of the right for trans people to gain access to medically necessary surgeries or HRT covered by the state, which would play into the right stripping away trans rights to such that are already in danger in red states not to mention nationally.

the post is accusing non-binary people of being on the wrong side of history, basically, by stipulating & pushing for a universal non-essentialism, & saying that binary trans people who seek those treatments out are ideologically flawed. but the right doesn't give a f*** about any of that, they want both sides of us to shut up & die, & capitalism doesnt give a f*** about any of that either.

it's basically internecine culture war s***, people snipping back & forth about technicalities, & hunter, I'm sure because she transitioned younger & feels protective of being able to do that, liked the post. so she's catching some strays.

she probably is sensitive about it too because she used to kind of be on the front line in NC advocating for it. but also here's a 2016 article where she talks about being nonbinary lol (wunc.org/education/2016-05-11/q-a-a-nc-teen-and-her-parents-on-the-transition-from-male-to-female). & I'm sure her parents could probably pay for that stuff for her, because I doubt anywhere in NC is footing the bill for that. She's also 23. none of us have this s*** figured out tbh, but I can say that this culture war snipping at each other seems a bit unproductive compared to the greater issue, which is, as that post said, having to live in cis society & the compulsion to "play by their rules"
