Completely f***s off
hour long final ep just to shove in a dominic fike song
man thought he was on his frank ocean vibes
We don’t see ashtray die I think he stopped bullet with his mind and season 3 is exploring that they all have powers
There’s some real moments of beauty and truth in the show sometimes. I loved Rue’s lines about trying to give her life purpose, so that it all wasn’t for nothing. It’s moments like that which can make the show exhilarating. I also liked Cal’s resolution. Unexpected. Good development for Nate. Like a lot of plot lines this season, needed more time in the oven, but melodrama like that, I’m here for. It’s stuff like the absolutely ridiculous play, where I say, this has just gotten goofy. So, the season was a bit of a mess IMO. Jules got the short straw this season, too. The Jules/Rue love story is always gonna capture my heart tho.
They should just go ahead and make Hunter Schaffer head writer going forward.
Is Fez gonna be okay, man? I need him not to go to jail. || :jordancry: || Is he gonna pin everything on Ash so he didn't go out in vain? Are they gonna roll with the story that Faye was telling for the cover up and blame Mouse's death on Laurie? Faye is real af for that cover up and letting Fez know to be quiet. If they could've just gotten that message to Ash everything would've been good......
Season has glimmers every episode
Yeah that’s the thing, there’s some legitimate beauty in the mess. Whether it’s a line or situation so brazen that it’s hilarious. A truthful or well-written scene. But it’s all being held together by glue.

I feel ya Ribbed. I binged the whole show and got caught up a few weeks back so the dropoff felt really sudden. Coming off an all time classic with the Jules episode, I rode that high into the first episode of the season, which yeah, is cool, but it transitions us into some half baked story lines. With some bright spots, like the Rue episode, being exceptions.

those specials really baited me bc i thought it meant we would get better writing and focused filmmaking, but instead we got something rly half assed
damn im surprised to see majority hate in here, what makes you guys feel this was a mess? i just caught up yesterday & generally really liked the season
the criticisms about it being ridiculous or unrealistic are kinda confounding to me i always felt it's consciously trying to be a surreal show like it's depicting the way teens experience these traumatic ass events in their lives (?) without being too corny about it
idk i felt it was really well written, thoughtfully constructed & the ensemble bodied this pretty much the whole way though (visual stuff goes without saying)
only thing im eh on is where rue is at ... to end the season on that was a lil whelming
that being said the fike song is mid . "still working on it" make it 2 minutes shorter my bro
This show is a prequel to mcu X-men
Stfu not everything is comic book related thank god
Am I the only one who saw the whole "And here's Wonderwall" moment as Elliot and Rue's seed for season 3?
Dom gotta need to watch his back if that happen
I think 5 takes the cake for me.
3 had the funniest scene of the season with Cal at Fez's place
who’s Jewel?…. do I know Jewel?…. hmmm Jewel?
Faye was so funny in that scene
