Anyone else get Good Time vibes from this episode?

I got a safdie brothers vibe at times but I think it was the cinematography, alot of grainy film zoom in shots the safdies love that hidden camera kinda style

for me it was the relentless anxious intensity and how it followed one character on a crazy f***ed up night. but yeah stylistically I can also see those parallels

Its okay to just enjoy a dramatic piece of entertainment without acting like its Shakespeare

lol you expect this fanbase to do that

    Boring

this thread cracks me up sometimes

Like this was a good episode to have, you know. You gotta show the effects of d**** on people and yada yada yada, like, you gotta show the real life side effects. I get it. But god damn, the execution of that idea was mediocre.

Like what was that Charlie Chaplin ass chase scene with the cops. These cops couldn't catch a teenage girl who was going through crazy withdrawals and could barely run as it is. And to top it off she was hiding in the trash can all along?

    In the trash can??

Ok so Laurie’s goal was to get rue in deep right?

What dealer gon offer u a 50k pack off rip let alone a 10k pack, let alone a pack at all KNOWING rue is a junkie?

Fez n Laurie had this conversation prior to rue even asking for the d**** so this been calculated. Imo I think fez was the actual “insurance” when it came to Laurie giving them d**** up, bc she knew from the jump rue wasn’t gon get her money back

So now rue potentially gon get tricked out, and fez probably gon get knocked but he’s 100% getting dragged into rue’s s*** regarding them packs

Rue was pushing a 10 sec 40yd dash nd they still couldn’t catch her. The cop scene was the worst of the ep due to execution. That or rue just “slipping out” of Cassie’s crib

i guess we're supposed to suspend ALL belief. and i'm usually good at doing that with shows. it's entertainment. but this one...idk. i'm not saying too much tho cause critique ain't really welcomed in here lmao

Dude I facepalmed irl when she managed to get out of Cassie's house. Then after getting out of the house she robbed I was like, okay, they're pushing it, but okay. Then the cop scene happened and it just took me out.

Like, I f*** with the show, heavily. But I felt like in this episode they asked that we put the usual Euphoria on hold and take them seriously for once and then they go and pull s*** like that. Nah.

Rewatching the scene at Cassie’s house and I’m realizing that Maddy is actually like a good friend until you cross her

Like the way she went straight to Rue to hug her without hesitation

i honestly could've taken the entire episode just in Rue's house with those 5 characters. THAT was television.

Don't let niggas think you're crazy for thinking that, niggas are blinded by the pretty camerawork and completely forget that you actually have to write a good episode for it to be good.

ok wait now that we're speaking a bit more freely than last night

let's really talk about it. the b**** was wreaking havoc from morning until sundown

didn't she cause a collision when she dipped out her mother's car?

the break in? i guess no gun was ultimately drawn when the owner realized it's just a teen girl, but again she was spotted. maybe they'll circle back to that in a later episode? but i doubt it

like i was just exhausted at all of the obstacles she was able to evade in the state she was in. it got silly
