Which one of y’all did this
That Sinéad O'Connor track completely outshined the scene it went along with. That song was so good I couldn’t have cared less what was going on story wise

https://twitter.com/madnssxo/status/1489005746771660810they had one with 2015 and b**** you earned it and it had like 100k likes but for some reason the op deleted it
Crazy how impressive and non sensical this show can feel throughout every episode
Just watched the season 2 episodes for the first time and it’s hard to explain it’s like I like this season more than the first so far but it also feels like the show lost some of it’s soul/essence somehow between seasons.
I just had this thought and I had to put it out there, is Sam Levinson the A24 Zack Snyder?
how do you mean?
like visually?

Like being more style over substance but obv there is more substance in Euphoria than BvS
Malcolm and Marie LOOKS good but it’s poorly written.
Euphoria LOOKS great and while I personally like it, a lot of complaints have been about the writing.
You could say the same about Zack Snyder’s films (even though again, I like them the criticism makes sense)
This s*** a dumpster fire but i cant stop watchin
me rn. Dialogue is consistently whacked out and cringe inducing. Also Not sure why they’re trying so hard to humanize Nate even tho he’s a literal cretin… seems like there’s better stories to tell with the other characters. Thought this show had potential after the first half of season 1 but have been consistently disappointed with the plotting since then (on s02e02).
watching now mostly to see the public thrashing each ep gets online after airing.
Finally just started this last night. Pilot episode def got me interested enough to keep watching
feel like this season is not hitting the same because Levinson has gone crazy with the style instead of focusing on the characters/story. he's like a film school director trying to show all his cool tricks because he doesn't know what story to tell
that and he sucks at juggling an ensemble cast, he should take a note from how David Simon tells the stories of multiple characters. we've spent way too much time on Nate's dad instead of characters that played a key role in S1
still a fun watch but Levinson getting in his own way

crazy thing is that there was a conscious effort to pivot away from the internet meme version of the show, and Sam just doubled down on it stylistically

Crazy how it feels like rue’s story is kinda an afterthought when dealing with the other storylines
More and more I find myself not really caring about what happens to her or jules, the lexi and cassie story is the main thing so far and if it doesn’t tie into rue, elliott and jules somehow it doesn’t make sense from a writing standpoint

That’s interesting and kinda makes sense as to why I enjoy this season more than the first so far but the show also doesn’t entirely feel the same.
Hate that they've essentially abandoned Jules and Nate and that whole storyline. It's no wonder this season is such a mess.
