Was pretty much set to start filming in 2023, with actors and costume people saying it shoots summer 2023. writers went on strike in May, so filming was halted. Once those were done, pre production restarted in December 2023. By then a lot of the main cast were getting other roles so getting a filming date was harder. Angus then passed away and the actors continued to get more and more work so s*** just kept getting pushed. Multiple actors were asked when it was coming and no one knew

and then this announcement is a shock because it had seemed pretty dead for a while. jacob elordi is filming something else early 2025, zendaya has like 3 things to film next year. syndey and other actors have stuff too. these have to overlap with the 7-8 month euphoria shoot now. i guess they worked out a schedule but thing seems like a headache from the outside

It's for those exact reasons that I believe this show only had one more season left in it anyways, because what other stories could you possibly tell after that?

And then they could just say Gia moved far away to go to college so she could get away from all of the craziness . I mean the only thing her character did was cry all the time lol, makes sense that she’d move away and cut off Rue

I understood and supported green lighting S2 back in 2019 but in all honesty this show really coulda just been a miniseries lol

feels like everyone is just forcing themselves to continue knowing there isn't gonna be any real sense of closure.

Sam already seemed kinda lost with S2 and there's no vision to this show anymore. There also still is no one around Sam to assist with the show, especially with his split from Kevin Turen and then Turen dying. The spiraling of this show was far more complex than Sam's decision to do Idol. It already struggled to get seasons out. This is exactly what happens when a TV show relies on 1 individual for writing and direction
