a lot of people don't like how Bishop turned on Alamo but i always saw this coming in some way. for me, i thought it was implied he got roped into this business similarly to how Rue did. even the "threats" can be read differently after learning of his betrayal in the finale. overtime, you can see Bishop starting to grow fond of Rue despite her immaturity. and through Rue, he met Maddy, who he has a genuine attraction for. he never really enjoyed or supported killing people for the sake of killing people. he only ever did what he was told until he had that golden opportunity to get Alamo killed

"May God have mercy" doesn't only apply to Ali, it also applies to Bishop. he had to be complacent in so much s*** to not getting killed one way or another, and only when all the evil forces in his life could be removed was when he started his betrayal

As far as Alamo and the gang were concerned she was still working for them. They didn’t know DEA were done with her but they did know what was in the safe and that she now has knowledge of it

its not even about rooting for him, he just decided that he wasn't going to keep going with the program, because rue and maddy obviously had some sort of humanizing impact on him

sam isn't a good writer tbh but a lot of this s*** doesnt need to be spelled out, its kind of just like apparent in the energies presented

I understand actors have to rationalize their characters in their head but bro saying it’s just a job like he was working in the strip club side of things. He was right hand man for the trafficking part. We saw the amount of presumably innocent girls they’ve trafficked from the IDs in the safe, yet it was the treatment of Rue (a criminal and a snitch) that broke him? And they presented him as a redeemable character regardless if we were supposed to root for him or not. He even walked off with damsel in distress Maddy

I hate you are making me shoot this stupid nigga Sam bail, but it's because Rue basically put her neck on the line going back to the Nazi's to retrieve the Ids and all that s***. Bishop probably seen it like "damn you won basically, and look was she had to do to pull that off, and you still killed her in that underhanded of a way"? Plus he was clearly tired of Alamo anyway.

She retrieved the IDs but still working for the DEA! No matter what they woulda had to get rid of her. That’s not even a win, now the rat knows about the human trafficking they would’ve been f***ed including Bishop who aided in the whole ordeal

If Levinson wrote any real repercussions after the strip club shootout, Bishop would’ve been locked up for being compliant with the operations but they treated that place like New Hamsterdam from the Wire. The natzi burglars were able to come and go, even Ali was able to walk out after shooting up the place
