So much so Sam couldn’t afford the retainer to keep her around for more than one episode
You got a name?
Did anyone lowkey feel this portrayal of Alamo as the major antagonist was sorta out of left field in the last episode?
In episode 7, he saved Cassie and Maddie from the Serbian niggas.
Rue also willingly chose Alamo over the Nazis
I never saw Alamo killing Rue as an evil, but something that had to be done due to Rue being a rat.
he sent angel to die in episode 2, kitty was shown to be trafficked in episode 4, he saves maddy in episode 7 yes but after coercing her into sex, then we see all the id's of the trafficked girls
i dont think its just about rue, its about all the girls he robbed of a future

bishop’s actor going in depth a bit about the character
Bishop was still complacent and aided in s***trafficking hundreds of girls. They showed us he had a pet poodle and we were supposed start rooting for him?

he saved them and then made them indebted to him so that 1 million dollars was now owed to him while putting fear in maddy so she would continue to have s***with him

its not even about rooting for him, he just decided that he wasn't going to keep going with the program, because rue and maddy obviously had some sort of humanizing impact on him
sam isn't a good writer tbh but a lot of this s*** doesnt need to be spelled out, its kind of just like apparent in the energies presented
Based on the s*** zendaya mom been posting and zendaya not promoting the show she def disagreed with that decision lol
what did zendaya mom say?

I’m confused on what you think I needed spelled out or what went over my head? I was reacting to the interview with the actor posted earlier itt
“Bishop didn’t agree with a lot of what Alamo did, but it was a job for him,” he says. “I think what Alamo did to Rue was the final straw for Bishop.”
I understand actors have to rationalize their characters in their head but bro saying it’s just a job like he was working in the strip club side of things. He was right hand man for the trafficking part. We saw the amount of presumably innocent girls they’ve trafficked from the IDs in the safe, yet it was the treatment of Rue (a criminal and a snitch) that broke him? And they presented him as a redeemable character regardless if we were supposed to root for him or not. He even walked off with damsel in distress Maddy

I hate you are making me shoot this stupid nigga Sam bail, but it's because Rue basically put her neck on the line going back to the Nazi's to retrieve the Ids and all that s***. Bishop probably seen it like "damn you won basically, and look was she had to do to pull that off, and you still killed her in that underhanded of a way"? Plus he was clearly tired of Alamo anyway.

“But you see he loved animals! Alamo making him kill the bird was a step too far!”

Nah that s*** was terrible no if ands or buts about it
Alamo shot an apple off Rue’s head with his eyes closed then buried her to her neck while swinging a golf club as threats but when it was time to actually kill her he just laced her s***

She retrieved the IDs but still working for the DEA! No matter what they woulda had to get rid of her. That’s not even a win, now the rat knows about the human trafficking they would’ve been f***ed including Bishop who aided in the whole ordeal
If Levinson wrote any real repercussions after the strip club shootout, Bishop would’ve been locked up for being compliant with the operations but they treated that place like New Hamsterdam from the Wire. The natzi burglars were able to come and go, even Ali was able to walk out after shooting up the place
hello
This what you wanted to see twin? Lol

“Way better as is”
Where did I even suggest an alternative?
Bishop’s turn was handled poorly I’m not the first to say this
Because he gave a speech about a snake earlier hinting he’s the snake doesn’t mean it characteristically makes sense
But whatever just my opinion, if y’all loved every detail go ahead eat it up. I had fun watching the season and don’t even hate it. Was just poking fun at certain elements

Ok answering both you post at once, first of all I was one of the first to say I didn't like how they handled Bishop in the finale. She actually wasn't "still working for the DEA", the DEA said they got what they needed from her and that they would try to use that favorably in her case. Unrealistic and bad writing, but that's how he wrote it. I agree about the trafficking part but regardless, again, they foreshadowed very clearly throughout the show that Bishop was tired of Alamo. If you look at the big picture, Alamo brought a lot of the s*** on himself. Had he been calmer and more calculated (like Bishop), they wouldn't have even had to go through at least half of the things they went through in the first place.
But again, I think the whole s*** is written poorly so all that "if you love it so much" s*** don't apply to me.
