I do think it was smart to kill off Rue due to d****. I mean we all seen that coming from S1 but at the same time this whole “Maddy telling Alamo she’s working with DEA” being the catalyst still seems cheap.

Them immediately doing a time jump after she died seemed like lazy writing and Sam not knowing how to do a proper send off to her character. Instead he had Lexi do that boring monologue of “In the Bible ppl die and we just move on”…cool we get the on the nose point

Jules was absolutely pointless all season

The Nazis take down and whole DEA s*** was anticlimactic.

Even the whole dumb p*** b**** yelling to wake up her BF was pointless, Rue still escaped, they only made the p*** chick do that dumb s*** to make the scene more “thrilling”

Thing is a lot of these ideas could’ve worked with a better writer. Problem is Sam tried to jam too much s*** into 1 season. This easily could’ve been stretched out to 2 seasons. Like the Maddy/Cassie now owing Alamo money only lasted for an episode and bam just like that they off the hook.

Rue being kidnapped by the Nazis could’ve lasted longer but instead it’s only half an episode and walaaa she’s free. Which makes the whole “let me turn myself” in s*** stupid as f***. Why not just sneak into the house when everyone is asleep since the p*** b**** was down to help you?

I love how Sam’s version of closing the character arc for Jules was to show that the plastic surgeon seemingly chose her in the end? Because he shows what seems to be him waking up to some coffee and s***. Maybe im grasping at straws and that nigga was just drinking his morning coffee before he bounced again

Sam is definitely a plot first, character second type of writer with no regards to actual character development.

His process is “ouuu a western showdown would be cool some how, and we can have the DEA tracking everything and have d*** mules go to Mexico…idk how all this will work, well f*** it let’s just have Maddy tell Alamo that Rue is DEA and then we gotta beat up Rue enough so it’s believable that she would take percs from Alamo, he has to get his revenge and get her to OD. Realistically it would make more sense that Rue would get pain meds from the hospital when she gets stitches and she SHOULD be weary of Alamos fentanyl OD history but naw throw all logic out the window so we can service this specific plot”
