Wait if you have HBO through cable you likely have Max
Depends on who you have but most are good for. You’re likely already ready to go
I have Xfinity
This is not true it comes with Max for most people with HBO through cable. All of the big ones signed on it seems except Comcast for the moment

This video didnt do a good job saying that then

It says if you get it through cable you get hbo go, not MAX content

im seeing one of the top comments complain about this too. this is kinda messed up considering HBO Max's own channel made this......

This rollout they are doing is so confusing

@Choose_a_username this was the graphic they posted...seems you need unlimited elite idk if thats what you got. also unsure how the sign up process works.. maybe through the sign in once the service launches
i'd check the special offer portion at the bottom too for other plans

also ATT said if youre grandfathered into the old plans that gave hbo for free you should still get it afaik

Word okay ima check tmr. Regardless ima cancel my HBO through Xfinity. Cus if I get it free no point in paying. And if I don’t get it free might as well pay for Max rather than pay to get half through Comcast

How does getting HBO free work? Like through app based right?
Cus my cable provider is Xfinity and I pay through them for HBO. So basically I’ve been foolishly paying for HBO for nothing
This rollout they are doing is so confusing
Bro HBO now. HBO Go. HBO Max. I still don’t know the difference. Like why tf they have 3 different streaming services

heres the problem. some cable providers are not offering hbo max for free, so if you pay for hbo through one of those its kinda not worth it
@op just put this in OP

I’m still confused by this
I have Optimum and am subscribed to HBO through them... I can get it just by entering my Optimum credentials?
