Wickedwell numerous people have been arrested and we don't know yet the purpose of these tunnels. I guess we should all just wait and see.

SolidusSnakeMany of these tunnels lead to a network of underground cities. These cities are inhabited by world elite, various old and new world religious groups, humanoids, and government leaders. But the tunnels themselves are used mostly for trafficking and ease of transportation.
I don't information about what the Jewish ones are used for however. Maybe they didn't want to take the subway? It is wintertime in NYC as well, too cold to walk around in traditional garb comfortably.

Never seen it. But Disney worlds utilidor system is the most public facing example of this. Countless underground cities and tunnels exist around the world. As long as you conceal, barricade, or guard the entrance and exit they'll say hidden from most people. Great place to hide.
