”Crackers were poor white folk who lived in the south during the antebellum era. Today, cracker is often used as a derogatory term for a white person for obvious reasons. It implies a person who lives in the utmost worst conditions and a person who no one really cares about.”

Just because it doesn’t have the weight and impact as some of the most deplorable racial slurs in existence does not mean that it is okay to call people slurs based off their race, sex, gender, sexual orientation, etc. you f***ing weirdo. “a subset of a group of a group of people did horrible things so anyone related to that subset automatically deserves to be made fun of and shamed just because”

that’s like saying if someone’s dad is a murderer, their whole family should be shamed and ridiculed the rest of their lives, generations after generations. even if those family members have no connection or idea who they were

Really I don't even know what you guys are trying to say.

A slur does not need to have historical weight. Cracker offending white people? Ok, If I was white I wouldn't care and highkey, if cracker offends you, you are a baby b****.

However, that doesn't make it not a slur. It's an insult with little weight because it was derived from the prejudice of a marginalized group in a majority white country.
