i just dont see whats so revolutionary about the pitching up , imperfections in the mix, unconventional song structure, all the other stuff people say

he didn’t pioneer any of it and it’s like… coool

everyone acts like every song is Ivy level and if it were an album like that then okay but

idk i listen to it so many timesss and so many songs are just so hollow and don’t click for me

I think it's an album that's better appreciated after a breakup. If you asked me what I thought about this album a year ago, I would've called it an overrated snoozefest. And yet after my breakup last November, I couldn't stop bawling my eyes to Self Control and White Ferrari.

In terms of production, there's so many memorable moments and interesting choices being done musically.
(e.g. outro of "self control", ending harmonies of "pink+white", the dissonant guitar harmony in nights, the church organs in "godspeed") Theres sooooooooo much ear candy

listen to this album when the sun is setting on a rooftop and think about your first love.

  • It explores the romanticization of love through nostalgia, revealing how heartbreak can blur and idealize the past while evoking the fleeting nature of time, the loss of innocence, and the longing to reconnect with one’s inner child.

Heavily influenced by Radiohead and Pink Floyd

Facts bro I couldn’t really appreciate the album 10 years ago cause I was still in hs but still thought it was an instant classic

Over the years, my connection with blonde has grown deeper after experiencing sm love and heartbreak
