hell ya i go to cincinatti and st. louis all the time
nice escape from nashville
wat u b doin in st louis
Sometimes I need a vacation from my vacation. A 2 week vacation across a culturally rich country is different from a 4 day vacation on a beach
have u been?
na it jus brought to mind a podcaster who felt the same way u did but now virtually always mentions how the solo trip he took changed his perspective/allowed him to really experience comfort in solitude.
naturally im intrested and hope/plan to do so one day. but its also just healthy practice to at least try things on your own - no matter if its going to events, movies, dinner, concerts, etc.
Just realized I haven't in a couple years but yeah lots. Mexico a bunch, Costa Rica, Spain, France a couple times, Germany a couple times, Czechia, Switzerland, England, Ireland and probably a few more countries I can't remember atm.
Barely traveled to other provinces in Canada but Montreal had the most amazing vibe. Used to do road trips around BC with my family as a kid but parents were too poor to take us out of country.
Japan at the top of my list for next trip.

Solo trips can be dope

classism is a real thing and will keep 95% of us down for the remainder of our lives. Cant imagine ever realistically getting a break from working enough to travel unfortunately. I can barely eat. I have to choose between eating, or paying my rent. My parents never had enough money for us to travel. I have been homeless a few times in my life and have lived in motels. And I actually have a good job now but I am barely skirting by in life still to this day. Gas is unaffordable too so I gotta go more in debt sometimes just to get to keep working.
we will die in the class we were born
bro casually lived in paradise
a gift from God man, was hard work daily tho
just miss that lil corner of paradise, used to take these evening walks to the local bar by my house and it was on a private area of the beach so I’d get drunk af, eat, smoke and go stare at the ocean
life good but i miss that s***

Theres a lot of destinations and apps that strongly cater towards solo travelers tbh
Like a lot of ppl solo travel vietnam and specifically the ha giang loop for instance, where its p oriented towards diff solo backpackers meeting and i guess becoming backpacking friends after
Japan ive known solo travelers who had a great time
I went to budapest alone and stayed at a hostel— a lot of fun. Basically did some of the ruins crawls the hostel organized and met cool people, walked around by myself and went to a thermal bath and vibed for a few hrs
It is not hard to do a vacation as long as you have the time
You can travel and stay at places in cheaper ways
Only time money is a real issue is if you're trying to do some attraction type ish like Disney Land or sumn, but locations and activities and s*** you can easily work around
Anyways, yeah
I go on a real vacation every few years since high school - in USA or in Mexico (never been anywhere else tho besides these two countries, and in USA I mostly stay on the west coast besides a very few occasions)
And my family would take us on a vacation to like a national park, beach or sumn every other year and once in a great while somewhere like Disney type s***
Ive also been invited to an island resort type thing with friends but unfortunately didn't have the time, would have been sick and not much money
