The DNA/narrative of the game is so hypocritical it’s hard to really enjoy.

Spoilers I guess but the game is over 3 years old so you know.

A good chunk of the story is dedicated to the player character taking down poachers all while the game introduces what is essentially a poaching mechanic in order to gain more money, but it’s ok apparently because “we’re selling the creatures to the right people!”

Then there’s the whole thing with the unforgivable curses, but the player faces no repercussions if used.

AND THERE’S SO MUCH KILLING, responsible for more deaths than all off the villains combined.

The game was obviously a massive success so it’s not like they’re going to upend things for the sequel, but I do wish it was more akin to an actual student experience. Place emphasis on exploring, learning, puzzles, etc. and less on battling/killing.

I think a lot of people’s complaints of things looking dull and grey (color wise) is because things are graded for Dolby Vision now vs an SDR image which is how most people will watch things

Most people will probably watch this on a laptop or a Samsung TV with HDR 10 and not Dolby Vision

So to get the best looking experience you have to pay $25 for HBO and have a TV that supports Dolby Vision
