They did pretty good with the casting just based off looks imo. I honestly thought the castings would be riskier and more controversial

Yeah, it'll be terrible and they're locked into these roles for at least a decade. For their sake, I hope the show itself is actually good because that has a tendency to dead any/all bullshit complaints and online attacks as time goes on.

I'm really just curious to see how much more they can expand on the books and all the details they couldn't adapt in the movies because of the general limiting runtimes of movies.

I only hope that this show is worthwhile for the sake of these kids it’s an uphill battle to climb. Cast looks good overall though
