I think what helped make it work was that I genuinely bought that he was a genius and a great poet

I mean i can see why people would like it, it’s not the type of movie I’d get mad about for people liking it just felt kinda forced or whatever? Didn’t like the lead char played by Matthew and it was heavily focused on him so that didn’t help either

But I rated it positively anyway bc y’all know I’m a visual guy and Benoit Debie just makes everything he touches look wayyyy too colorful to dislike it on that end. Goat s***

No doubt, I overheard one of the crew members of the film saying that the audio mix was a lot lower than how they initially premiered it at Venice. There were complaints the music overpowered the dialogue tremendously.

I was high off an edible so I thought that was why the dialogue felt like background noise lol

this actually sounds worse than cancer and i hope i never see a single second of it

first 30 minutes of that movie are unbearable. props to anyone who made it past that, but i’m also completely skeptical of the character of anyone who kept watching after the 30 minute mark
