not really that simple but you shouldnt be looking for these type of artists for bars to begin with cus thats just not what he or any of his contemporaries do

Idk what you think bars are, but Yeat has an idiosyncratic writing voice. He phrases things weird. He has recurring interests and catch phrases. He even has some alright punchlines.

The bar is so low man. It's not hard to get a notch above it. At all

Also I'm never listening to this dude again. Insulted be put this out

it's pretty insane how people can listen to Not Afraid, Range/Era, Barry, Marathon, Darkness & Promises and proceed to say that Rock is saying nothing lol

It's cool if it's just not for you / you don't like it, but there's some pretty vulnerable parts on this project...there's literal reflections on him getting home from the military on Marathon, him opening up about his personal struggles on Not Afraid, him being motivational/speaking about self-belief on Promises, etc...

It's also refreshing that he's religious / references God a lot on the album, I feel like that's not common especially in this sound (i.e. all of Opium lol)

• & songs like Barry & Range & Era are all pretty unique / forward thinking, those separate him from the Lonely clone allegations imo, kid has a slew of potential. Feel like this is the stepping stone for a beautiful career for Rock, he actually made a cohesive project, most albums in this sound just feel like compilations.
