I kinda expected this since its such a light tech demo. It's not even the scale of what even a beta is. This seems much more like assistance for their holiday release then a legitimate preview for gamers

the bot s*** seems to have much more new implications on the dedicated server front than a regular 4v4. I doubt just because its bots would mean it's suddenly easier to manage, they are testing something new with it and thankfully are finding fixes now during wave 1 of a tech demo than later
