I think I'm decent enough with it that I do get bored of the style of gameplay. At least with AR you have to start thinking about getting another gun sooner than later. I've played literal pistol only games on MCC online before lol.

And to add to the fact other shooters where the meta gun is more fun to shoot with imo

Bro people who have been playing H1 at the top level for over 15 years still don’t hit consistent 3s like that lol idk how you can get bored of a weapon that requires utter mastery to do work with it. & no, you can’t win a H1 game with only pistol, and you are heavily encouraged if not forced to get a power weapon or power up off start because of this. I’d love to see you try that logic against anyone who knows what they’re doing lol

Noobtube being more fun doesn’t mean anything if it’s instant gratification and no skill gap lol no point in bringing that into the discussion. Starting weapons are only as satisfying as the kills you get with them. Can’t speak on GoW, skipped the whole franchise cause I was too stubborn to try 3rd persons Not familiar with minigun in TF2 either I don’t think. I’m assuming that both of those weapons are limited by range, though. Which is alrdy a negative for me as far as starting weapons go

Also I can’t remember how GoW is but in CoD and TF2 you pick your own starting weapon those are not the same concepts

I wasn't implying that I was a pro lol. I agree on your general arguments, but I'm just thinking back on how I actually enjoyed playing halo one. I usually had more fun playing and using other weapons in the sandbox vs the pistol after the initial "WHOA THREE SHOTS TO THE HEAD AND YOU'RE DEAD!" reaction when I first played.

Also I might assume there might be a big difference between casual and competitive games in how the pistol is used.

Fair enough but I live for that 3 shot lmao i had to give up getting good au that game cause some of the players on there will make you think your thumbs are missing + power weapons flying across map to the enemy gets discouraging after the 5th time in a row in a single game 😭

What other guns do you enjoy in H1 tho? I think the sandbox sucks in that game tbh only like 6 usable guns. Infinite actually gets a lot of props from me for having a really cool and diverse sandbox

His points are fair but the same thing (better imo) could have been achieved if you just up’d the skill gap for the battle rifle instead of making all of our utility starting weapons insanely easy

He’s def exaggerating the skill it takes to use bandit vs BR as well lol but yeah fair points. I like the bandit, just think they should be going about their changes entirely different
