Is there any example of a successful multiplayer game that prices their cosmetics like that? I feel like I see this same thing said about nearly every game that sells cosmetic items. Surely if it would be that successful and generate an insane amount of revenue it would have been done by now.

I just feel like there are decades of market research and consumer behavior that show that $9.99 and $19.99 is the sweet spot for the majority of people.

I'm not disagreeing that $10 for virtual pineapples is stupid, I just don't know if the alternative would actually be as successful as people think.
