Just because there’s radar doesn’t mean that higher ground gets first shot lol that makes 0 sense. Both players are fully aware of each other. But one has to drop their gun to get to the other while the other is consistently shooting at them.

Nah you def correct about this. You have a good point about the bias perspective that they have. Naturally someone who is willing to put hella hours into a franchise they love is gonna be bias.

I do think of the s*** I was watching, Naded was being very fair. He did have complaints, but overall he was just saying the game is fun. He wasn’t being super critical because again, it’s an old build. But he did say there were a few things that needed to be changed (Sniper scope one one i can think off of the top of my head). I also just think in general he isn’t really too negative of a person, so he probably doesn’t see the need to s*** on the game off the rip.

Regardless it’s hellllla hard to determine who has a truly objective perspective. Everyone got their own feelings about Halo now and the community is very split with old heads and new players and everything in between.

I’d agree, they seem to want to please the old fans because they know they’re gonna be the most vocal. If they can recapture the old audience while appealing to the younger audience they def will do well.

Also that was his other complaint, the medals look garbage as f*** LOL. Especially the perfect medal. I agree, they lack so much character compared to like H3 and Reach. Even H5 had better medals.

I do like the steaktacular medal as a concept, good nod to the community imo but it looks so s*** LOL.

He also mentioned how cluttered the killfeed is. Which again, I’d agree with. I think they got gotta redesign the hud a bit in terms of reducing clutter. I don’t really get why they added points, it’s literally pointless (heh) in game modes like slayer where it’s kill based. The s*** should just be clean. At the very least, togglable so that if you want less bullshit info you can clear it.

Lol he’s the Mew2King of Halo it sounds like. Really f***ing good at every game but deadass can’t clutch up to take the W. Wild tbh. Sad I missed the Halo hay day. I’m not even that amazing at the game but it’s a ton of fun to watch competitively to see the crazy s*** people pull off.

Honestly the mutlikill s*** is also something I noticed. Like idk why it’s so short in duration. Especially when the announcer says it, it’s like not really a space in between it. I legit think Reach (despite a lot of its flaws competitively) did medals the best. Announcing wise, design wise, and meaning wise.

Yeah H4 scoring is dogshit. At least it isn’t fully points and still focused on kills but it’s just pointless to show the score if it doesn’t mean s***. Like idgaf about total points scored in the post game, just show me the basics.

That reminded me of another complaint he had which is also a valid one. When you check the scores mid match or after a death, the leading team isn’t on top, It’s always the same. Which is annoying as f*** lol, like why wouldn’t it swap? Some of the stuff I legit don’t know why or how they forgot to change, like it doesn’t make sense but I suppose that’s the point of actually providing feedback

without that radius it's easy to drain 2 headshots then it's beatdown vs beatdown lmao why would anyone use it at that point

i never used it in halo 3 because it seemed like a noob friendly weapon but now it has some kind of competitive viability at least which is cool to see even though i probably still wont use it much

I’m glad you see the little changes like that though. The entire HUD is honestly an overly cluttered mess and should def be addressed. From the killfeeds to the medals for damn near everything to the audio feeding you 4+ different voices during gameplay. A toggle option to give us RvB + old scoreboards seems obvious and ideal.
343 has a weird track record of putting s*** into the game that makes you wonder ‘why?’ I think the big divide in the fan base is where we draw the line on those why’s lol
