Wow listening to this I was not expecting to like this album as much as I am right now I’ve never listen to a Haim album before they just looked like the typical generic indie girl band that wanted to be like sleater kinney but I’m digging this and Rostam production is probably his best since mdvotc

Just finished my first listen. It’s not bad. Definitely way better than Something To Tell You. Sadly, I don’t think they will ever reach the greatness of Days Are Gone again

Ariel who produced that album also produced this and buddy ross who did blonde and endless production for frank

But yeah a lot of the drum mixing sounds like that vampire weekend album

damn Days are Gone was so great imo.
Jessie Ware's album is top 3 oty for me just off of first listen.
Fiona Apple, Jessie Ware, Charli, Rina feels like woman have taken over this year in terms of quality.
Havent finsihed listening to Phoebe new album but have higher hopes for that than HAIM and im praying this album is great

Yep Jessie’s album is already in my top5 of the year (best female album) Gonna see how high it will climb. Jessie’s album also reminded me how effortless loving an album should be. I wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I do.
I love Days Are Gone so much, that Im still willing to give HAIM few more chances.
Rina, Fiona, Charli all delivered. Actually every year, women have slayed. Last year, we had Twigs and Lana. In 2018, we had Robyn, Janelle, Kacey, Kali. In 2017, we had Kelela, Lorde, St Vincent etc...
And there are many I didnt mention.

The bonus tracks slap a little more than is necessary tbh

Summer Girl got a killer swing to it

Really enjoying this album, it's the first one of theirs I've listened to, only found out about them last year because of Danielle's contributions to the vampire weekend album. Gonna probably check out their first album after this.
