The amount and quality of content for the price is insane

IDK how to do spoilers and s*** but after my first two completed runs I thought I'd be done but now it's opened up even more stuff to do.. I honestly can't praise it enough

Yes. I got it on Switch 1. Runs perfectly fine. I'm sure it runs better on PC and Switch 2, but theres nothing noticeable where i felt like I got a worse experience

Hades 1 was really good although maybe a little overhyped. Heard this is even better though plus it's cheap so why the f*** not

I guess this game is objectively better than the first and has more content but it just doesn’t quite hit the same unfortunately

I think the hype died while waiting for the second part
I really enjoyed the first one but the second is still there installed, only touched it once to see if it works.

First was an all time classic tough to follow

It’s a classic sequel of a really good game — it improves gameplay elements and general QoL stuff but the story is a little less tight and some things just don’t hit quite the same.

Like @Barry_Gibb says the first game was so fresh. It’s so hard to catch lightning in a bottle like that again.

Both games are fantastic, though.

Still haven’t gotten to this because I’m currently balancing Yotei and Silksong.

Then Outer Worlds 2 drops at the end of the month.

Alrighty Hades bros I just unlocked the ending (not epilogue) and i can see why everyone was calling it disappointing

I feel like Super Giant Games wrote themselves into a corner trying to figure out how Melinoe still has a reason to go below and above the surface

Eris and Prometheus both feel so bad to fight. Worst bosses in either game by far

I feel like they ran out of time — I have a feeling it coincided with the Switch 2 timed release and how much of a big deal it was to release on that at the same time.

The voice acting in both of these is really good. Very welcome in an era where that isn’t always guaranteed even in AAA games

To expand now that i’ve spent a lot more time with the game; this is actually not objectively better than the first lol.

1. Biggest issue with the first game was visibility and constantly taking damage to s*** you can barely see. This one just served to make it worse

2. Bosses are worse in general - more obnoxious to fight across the board and nowhere near as interesting in terms of personality and story significance. Prometheus is by far the worst boss fight in either game and feels legitimately terrible every time.

3. Lamer story, not as interesting or as well written. Missing characters like Dusa, Thanatos, Achilles etc. being replaced with literal exact copies is embarrassing.

4. The surface run is not as good as the underworld run. The levels are worse, the bosses are worse, and the story is not as compelling - especially the story content you get after your first few clears which is NOWHERE near as interesting as what’s going on with Zagreus and the mirror.

Could go on at length but in comparison to the first this is very much a case of Icarus flying too close to the sun. Still a great game and worthy sequel though

Probably gonna wait and jump into this once I cop a Switch 2. Resolution bump would be worth it alone.

Hades went into early access in 2018 and dropped in 2020 on Switch and Windows. Didn’t get ported over to PS5 until 2021. So you might be waiting for a while.
