Rumour I heard a while back was that some of the old songs are missing due to licenses being unrenewable (MJ estate etc) but that Rockstar has added new songs from those eras so the overall total number of tracks is higher

I mean if they had way less songs then why would they bother adding the new radio station selection wheel?
