West and Conway don't seem as hungry as they were when they were a duo.
i think boldy and rome and maybe maybe benny a bit are still hungry

You talking about on this tape (2017) or in general?

in general no more i think he is talking about
Drumless doesn’t need to end it’s just not being done justice
you need an ON POINT rapper (as in an already good rapper that’s performing at 150% and needs his/her space) OR that sample needs to have a strong implied beat. Like Rex Ryan doesn’t have drums but somehow has one of the hardest beats I’ve ever heard, on some Jaws s*** where even though you don’t see the shark/hear the beat that s*** still shakes you
Because of a lack of both of those things a lot of drumless s*** just straight up falls flat.
The ones who seem to be getting off on doing it for the sake of doing it like Nicholas Craven are so f***ing annoying too
good tracks but nothing special the feeling they had once before is gone now and there beginning to sound mediocre i guess you can say now
or less hungray and uninspired
@op can you put OG in the title 😭
what difference does it make when there is no other version out
Which one of yall is this
https://twitter.com/Alchemist/status/1740603005123359045Alc’s drums often do sound terrible but it’s a mixing issue rather than his fault
I have no idea why y'all niggas is tripping over some 2017 s***
cuz they are classic fire songs got put on a project mixed with new s***
making a great album
Maybe I’m having a Mandela effect thing but I swear there was also a video of Alc in his studio on the MPC with that beat playing but I can’t find the video on YouTube anymore
Does anyone else recall this?
I highly doubt it’s Q’s song because I don’t see him willingly dropping a song that good. I don’t even mean that as a diss like I love him but it’s clear he doesn’t have as much an interest of being in that lane as much anymore
Also I think Nez & Rio handled drums/it was a co-production deal. That sample is some f***ed up s*** only Alc would think to use for a song like this lol
nahhh Q released a drumles song just last year i dont think he wouldnt release it cus he doesnt wanna be associated, his only features lately have been with gibbs, roc, larry june, conway, black thought, alc, and his boy TF who had a whole album with roc
lord if kilo in the trunk and this snip are an indicator of anything that next Q album could be unbelievable

Instead they’re releasing palermo and ATYPFM smh
I'm confused does this guy have the song or...?

I’d honestly take drumless beats over the generic ass dull sounding daringer/beat butcha drums. Like the drums all over that Wun Two x Conway album
I like some of Cravens stuff but my biggest problem with him is how he’ll loop 1 bar for like the entire song. At least Al usually does s*** to keep it from getting old by adding different chops and layering subtle details
So is this like an unreleased drop freshened up for vinyl and streaming with a couple extras or something?
