I also think part of the reason I’m burnt on that sound atm is because Griselda dropped so much this year lol
the griselda sound was mad stale on Tana Talk 3 at a lot of points tbh.
Plugs I Met was hard because of that diversity in sound. Hopefully, Hit Boy can bring the versatility to this one.
Completely agree w you about rapping outside of the traditional Griselda sound. Don’t get me wrong I love it and it’s part of the reason I fell in love with Griselda to begin with but I was almost like getting burnt out on it and it’s refreshing to hear Benny over this production.
he also gets pretty versatile too...like you don't have to be a Griselda fan to like this it's pretty accessible

Hard disagree. TT3 is the closest to one of my favorite albums of all time Mobb Deep - The infamous. Dunno why I feel like that, but it just hits me the same way. To me it is coherent, I don't need 'diversity' for sake of diversity.
I havent listened to the new album, but im 100% youre all bugging. How can an album with something so trash as 'timeless' (mostly the beats, but also the features) be even close to TT3?
Benny got a joint w Harry fraud??? That’ll be amazing
Plugs I Met 2 prod by Harry Fraud

well idk maybe we think timeless isn't trash and the rest of the album is good as well
Hope benny rapid fires next couple releases he’s sitting on
need plugs 2. NEED Fraud x Benny
If I felt like it I would quote every single one of y’all who disses hitboy in this thread. Keep y’all trash @ss music opinions off this site!
couldn't be me. I love hit-boy s***. Even some of his rapping was decent on his Chauncey tape.

This version of this song with him rapping over the original Dre sample in the outro is classic

Production isnt as balanced as From King To A God. It's almost too shiny, too clean. Part of the Griselda appeal is that grimey vibe. This sounds really sanitized.
Benny carried his weight as far as lyrically but overall....I need to hear the final version, mixed and mastered.

Of the album? What makes you think the leak isn’t the final mixed and mastered version?

The version I heard doesnt sound anything like Timeless as far as sonics.
But I only gave it a quick listen before I trash binned it. Waiting for the official release to really sit with it.

I think its done on purpose to set himself apart a bit. It sounds like mobster infused rap music to me, like Reasonable Doubt.
"niggaz call me just to check if the number the same, damn"

I do get heavy Reasonable Doubt vibes but even that album had some grit to it.
And some of these features are more inline with a Hit-Boy album then anything Griselda related. I love Dom but hes just as out of place as Sean on here.
Where's Nas????
