    Nigga, you relax.

Like I said, he needs to listen to more music.

His head'll pop off if he hears Aquemini lol

How would Aquemini that came out in 1998 pop my head off? Can you comprehend?

FLYGOD forever changed my expectations of what a hip hop album should sound like.

    How?

yeah and I really enjoyed the ones I've heard but I dont feel like replaying the blakkk tape half as many times as I played reject 2

not hating btw, nothing wrong with making the most out of what you got but it's oversaturation atm

    How?

It wasn't necessarily FLYGOD itself, it was everything leading up to FLYGOD. From the loosies to Hall N Nash to Reject 2 etc. it kept passing my expectations. Like when these niggas gonna miss? FLYGOD felt refreshing at the time and I've never experienced a group release so much heat in a short amount of time. Outkast has NEVER done that. Not sure even Wu-Tang did, but I only f*** with Chef, Ghost & ODB.

Basically if you're going to drop a project, everything you drop before then should be amazing. No half-ass s***

Exact thoughts as I listened to the album for the 1st time today. At least 3 songs had the same drum pattern as George Bondo which I read on here yesterday and I immediately noticed it lol. This album is just ok, it’s not bad by any means but I do think he should have waited awhile to drop another project after Pray For Paris, which was great.

yeah AEW is my #1 promotion right now...NJPW is also great just harder to keep up with honestly...I check out NXT now and then and the occasional WWE PPV but honestly their product has just gotten too watered down and overproduced for me

this s*** grew on me heavy acc as individual songs its eh but as a whole front to back the project is f***ing great i see it as like the album he dedicates as like a summary of his mixtapes made for the people who wanted the hard s***. Very hard and gutter, gunn raps on this hard asf and i love that. The cover sucks, these two fit it way better specifically the mciheal irvin one i have a feeling that was originally the cover of this cuz when i replaced it in itunes it made me see the album's sound dif i expected some experimental s*** from the original cover.

Flygod is definitely a perfect hip hop album. But It didn't change anything imo.

What u mean everyone whos a child of griselda was born after FLYGOD and it was their first big step as griselda plus it revived that whole marci sound.

i agree with you tbh, this is WSG in condensed form. mostly daringer prod and there's the posse cuts, a keisha plum track, a singing/overly sexual track, a couple unexpected features from legends, a track where west puts on for newer rappers in the griselda vein, etc. only gunn staple that's missing is the skits, but honestly a don't miss em.

is it my favourite project from him? no, but i can see what the vision for WMTSS was, and it's already growing on me

also wasn't the michael irvin cover for awesome god 2?

yeah exactly its like a thesis statement on west other than the wrestling skits. I still really like it n thinking it in context of his other albums instead of tapes issa great addition to me and a good entrypoint to see if someone will like west too.
Btw it probably was but i feel like it fits this album super well
